The Africa Centre

Located in the heart of Southwark, The Africa Centre has long served as a cultural beacon for the African continent and its diaspora.

For its newly refurbished home on Great Suffolk Street, Tola Ojuolape Studio was commissioned to bring warmth, tactility, and a powerful sense of place to the interior design.

The Uncommon

The vision for The Uncommin is to create a unique and extraordinary café experience that goes beyond the norm by blending hospitality with creativity, encouraging connection, inspiration, and cultural exchange, while remaining proudly rooted in the vibrant spirit of Dubai.

The brand aspires to become a dynamic cultural hub where culinary artistry, creative expression, and human connection intersect, offering a welcoming space that celebrates diversity and nurtures a strong sense of community.

For the London site, spanning 1072 sq ft, the goal is to design a visually iconic and immersive environment, incorporating reflective materials and striking architectural elements to capture attention and leave a lasting impression.

Eko Hotel

Our design draws inspiration from the vibrant character of Lagos—a dynamic urban metropolis with a rich history, cultural depth, and one of Africa’s largest and busiest seaports.

This project seeks to embrace the energy of this coastal setting, grounding our scheme in the rhythms and textures of Lagos’ shoreline identity. The city thrives on creative expression and communal spirit.

Our concept aims to capture this essence— celebrating the layered stories of the city while creating a new cultural touchpoint along the water’s edge. Our vision is to create a destination that captures this energy—somewhere that feels local, lived-in, and full of stories, right on the edge of the water.

Bloom, Nine Elms

Greystar commissioned TOS to design a premium and quality show flat that could attract and showcase their mission to create an immersive living experience that nurtures and celebrates artistic expression.

Having a strong narrative and with the collaboration of Greystar, our design was centred around two character profiles, Olive & Anouskha.

Both creative professionals, we sought to express their interests and lifestyles in the design and curation of the space as well as supporting local art and small businesses.

culture Cafe

An inspiring & considered space that embraces a contemporary African aesthetic. Design expression is celebrated through ‘the imperfection of the hands’ that comes from craftsmanship and hand crafted techniques.

Built on the pillars of Community, Context, Cafe and Culture, it is a comfortable environment that encourages community and fosters collaboration.

A space that feels like ‘home’, open, localised and inclusive for connections. An enjoyable space for all. Culture Cafe is part of the wider cultural strategy in the borough and local area to engage the community.

The Getaway

Landsec commissioned the studio to design a hospitality-led space on the outskirts of London.

Our response was to design a Sensory Escape; an immersive environment with sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch to curate new experiences. Something new on offer to try with unscripted relaxing that allows a change of pace to foster learning and inspiration.

Chuku's Shoreditch

The concept vision embraces the idea that Nigeria is a collage of cultures — a rich tapestry and mosaic of communities shaped by a blend of local and imported influences and unified through food, music, art, fashion, and conversation.

This perspective informs an approach that is multi-layered, informal, intentional, authentic, and resourceful, positioning the space as the glue of the community. With increased capacity, the venue has the potential to serve a larger customer base, drive higher revenue, and introduce private dining zones that enhance guest experience and…
